Shortly after celebrating his 88th birthday, long-standing President Robert Mugabe has all but secured his position as president in Zimbabwe’s 2013 elections by altering a section of Zimbabwe’s current constitution draft, allowing him to once again safely seek re-election next year after being president for 31 years.
