ATTENTION

This is important

Tell me your favorite poems!

However, avoid anything that is:

  • Poe, cummings, Plath, traditionally taught in university-level Spanish classes, Bukowski, Merwin, Brautigan, WCW, Wallace Stevens, T.S. Eliot, Frost, O’Hara, Arp. Lovely as they all are, there is a 95% chance I will already have read the poem in question.
  • Trite, girly, boring
  • Extraordinarily long (like, I love “Howl,” but it’s just too fucking long for this)

Show me your stuff, tumblr! If you introduce me to something I’ve never read before that I absolutely love, I’ll find a way to reward you handsomely. Whatcha got?
